Went back to the hotel to put on our coats 1st before making our way to Nagoya station for dinner.
Staff had already placed our luggage back into our room.
We were assigned to 5th level because I've opted for the adventure theme room. Not that we have much choice though as other theme were either sold out or price higher.
Upon entering, there's a partition where a bunk bed is located. There is a small light at the sides of the bed for children to use at night.
Dinos didn't on it during bedtime though as it was too bright, I dimmed the hallway lights and it was just nice for them to fall asleep.
They also placed a air purifier here.
There's a treasure box here where you need to solve a puzzle to unlock the number lock to get the prized inside. I didn't managed to unlock though. But the cleaning staff took it out and placed it with our lost items and passed to us when we went back to retrieve. Thankfully or not, SD left his camera behind and I went back prior to leaving Nagoya and got the freebies.
A tv for the children but we didnt use it since Dinos played with their toys for a while and turn in for the night.
Adullt's room. A queen bed.
Initally my mummy had wanted to join us on this trip and I tried checking if a roll out bed can be added at the bunk bed side but nope, it's not possible.
So if the occupants are more than 4, you will have to book 2 rooms.
Hallway joining the 2 partitions.
There's an open closet beside this cabinet where we can hang our clothes and as like all other Japan hotels, there isn't much space for you to open up your luggage. This room is however bigger than average already where I can keep 1 luggage open by the side of the window.
I kept 1 of the luggage open right by the end of the wall in this photo.
There's also a TV here for the adults and most of the channel is in Japanese. The table is useful though for our nightly snacks. Haha
Toilet is small but well equipped.
I realised most Japanese hotels/ airbnb have bathtub. Dinos are so excited to see 1 but were disappointed when we didn't allowed them to soak long because of the cold weather.
Another thing they were impressed with is the toilet bowl of Japan when they realised the seats are heated and it feels great to sit on it during this cold weather. We
Took the train back to Nagoya station where we walked around to search for this fried chicken wings joint(Yamachan) that I was planning to get our dinner from.
I've read that this is 1 of the more famous fried chicken in Nagoya and thought that Mr Love would love to give it a try.
It's not far from the entrance of the Aonami line at Nagoya station, but it can be easily missed as it was located at 2nd floor of a building.
When we got there, the restuarant is already full and had a long waiting list and we did not make any reservations.
We were told that waiting time is up to 90min and Mr Love did not want to order take away back to our accomodation as the chicken might turned soggy already from the long ride back.
Well, better luck next time though.
Walked back to Nagoya station to try find other options because we were all famished. Friday crowd was crazy and every other restuarant had a long queue.
There were bento shops in the station but we had no where to sit and eat. Eating while walking/standing is frown upon in Japan and we did not dare to risk it.
Dunno what striked me but I randomly took a stairs down in the middle of the station to explore if there's anything to offer and chanced upon a ramen street.
On top of it, it's pretty empty too. Jackpot! I was so relieve to see a few shops inside that we can sit down to eat.
And this is the 1st shop that greeted us when we entered the street.
Just an hour ago, Mr Love was just asking if I intended to have Ippudo in Japan because he had remembered me gushing about how delicious it is when I 1st had it 18years ago when I visited Japan.
I know this is just a very normal ramen but when I 1st had this, we queued for 45min out in the cold and when I took the 1st sip of the soup, I was blown away by how tasty it is.
When they 1st opened up a branch in SG, I excitedly brought Mr Love to try only to be disappoint by the taste haha.
Price list. Costs half of what it is in SG.
The shop is catered more to couple or single diners, having a board in between the seats or counter top for privacy. It took a while for them to arrange seats for us at the counter.
Ordered 3 of the same. White ramen.
Frankly speaking, I cannot remembered the taste already but this sure tastes good. Not sure if it is because we were all cold and hungry already.
Even Mr Love and Dinos enjoyed it and are devouring it in record speed.
All the Japan entries we been too are quite child friendly. i.e. they all readily provide children's utensils upon seated.
The irony is, we have never met any Japanese children having their meal in any of the eateries we have been to.
Ordered a side dish to share and it was yummy!
The total bill came up to be below JPY4000 and we were satisfied with the meal and price.
We then went up to the bento shop to buy their chicken wings for supper and also brought snacks and drinks from the convenience store before going back.
1thing to note is that there isnt any convenience store around Legoland, not as far as we can see though since we didn't venture far from the hotel too.
