Busan - Busan Air cruise

I was deciding if we should go for Haeundae Blueline park or Songdo and after much thinking decided on Songdo as Haeundae BlueLine park rquires booking and coordinating the travel time for Sky Capsule and Beach train and its more of IG worthy photos and I reckon Dinos might be more interested to take cable car than the slow moving Sky Capsule.

And Songdo is nearer to where we stayed this time while BlueLine park is across the city.

We didn't make any reservation for the cable car though and I really did not know what to expect since information was not too much.

Anyways we did tell Dinos that there isn't any play here, we are here to enjoy the sceneries and outdoor today.

Bus stop to take bus to Busan Air cruise is very near to where we stayed. Using my best friend in Korea - Naver, I am able to see which bus to take, estimated arrival time, number of stops to destination and even real time tracking of the stops if location is on.

It is so useful that we rely heavily on Naver while navigating our way in Korea and did not get lost even once.

We got on bus 26 and to ride 7 stops to Amnamdong community service center where we will have to find our way to Busan Air Cruise. But I mistakenly thought we should ride to Songdo beach and therefore missed the stop.

This stop will allow you to walk to the beach though but we wanted to take the cable care to Amnam park so we crossed over to take bus 26 again to back track 2 more stops.

We met the bus driver who drove us here just now as this is the terminal stop and he is driving back again, he was very kind to wavie off our fares and directed us where to drop when I showed him the picture of Busan Air cruise.

We walked 10min from the bus stop to this cable car station. If searching by Naver, it is called Busan Air cruise.

Operating hours.

We came on a Sunday Morning and it is not crowded at all save for groups of elderly who is looking to trek at Amnam park.

Prices of the ride.

We took the normal cabin as I am actually super terrified of taking cable car. TAking crystal cabin would have made me hyper ventilate.

We did not pre book tickets too and got the tickets here easily without fuss.

We were given lollipops while waiting to board.

I took it to calm my nerves while Dinos took it just because they love lollipop.

The ride took around 10min and we crossed a sea to a hilltop. The ride is still ok if without wind.

Later during return trip, where the skies started to get dark, the cabin was swinging while moving and I nearly burst into tears.

Busan food - Gojip Chicken with Green Onion-Nampo branch

I didn't really planned on all the food we going eat in Korea because there is no knowing where and when we will be at.

I usually will use Naver and search nearby eateries to decide what's for next meal when we decided on where to go.

On our 2nd night, we went back to hotel 1st to put down our purchases from Lotte Mart and then walked over to BIFF square for dinner.

I've found a eatery that sells fried chicken with Green spring onions. Had read in XHS this is quite a popular way of eating in Busan but never really got around fixing a eatery to go to.

Since there is 1 near us, we decided to go try it out since fried chicken is also Mr Love's favourite.

Front of the eatery. Pretty unassuming and is located at 2nd floor.

We went by it twice and didn't realised this is the shop we are looking for.

They have these 2 banners displayed but we don't read Korean.

Interior of the eatery. The owners here are a middle age couple and they can speak simple English.

Threre is also Chinese and English menu available and the owner will check with you which language you want to see.

There is a also a translated menu on the wall.

Korean fried chicken are sold as a whole chicken where they will cut into parts and deep fried. Therefore it is not possible to order a few pieces. But it is possible for 2 pax to finish up 1 whole chicken though.

Here they allowed to mix 2 flavours while ordering but we choose the green onion on chicken flavour only as we are not a fan of the sauced versions.

We also ordered 1 portion of fries to go along as there are 4 of us. The funny thing is the uncle who took our orders called it potatoes instead of fries.

Bancha and sauces.

Uncle is nice enough to separately serve the green onion garnish that is supposed to be placed on top of the fried chicken as he saw dinos with us.

He told us in simple English that in case the kids are not used to taste of the green onion.

I was more worried that I might not like it though as I am not a fan of green onions too.

But as I took a small mouth of the green onions, I was blown away by the taste.

They have seasoned it with chilli, sesame oil and sprinkled with sesame seeds on top.

There is also onions and carrots mixed with it.

I have never tasted such nice tasting green onions and onion and was very in love with the taste.

And finally the fried chicken and fried are served piping hot!

They will only start to deep fried upon ordering and therefor had to wait at least 10 min for the food to be served.

Fries are thick cut but you can taste the potatoes in it.

And the fried chicken, even without garnish of green onions tasted heavenly and when paired with the green onions, gave it a refreshing taste what we never tried before.

In the end, I decided to order a beer too to go with the fried chicken as this is how they eat in the Korean dramas.

Total bill came out to be 34,000 won.

This is 1 of the more economical meal we had in Korea.

Korea food- BBQ @ Haeundae

We reached Haeundae at 11am from Jagalchi after travelling for 40min.

This time round, I have chosen to stay at the other side of Busan as we had previously stayed in Haeundae area when we first visit Busan in 2015.

Still we have to cross travel the city as the places of interests are spread out throughout the city.

Mr Love had wanted to try BBQ for 1 meal and after searching, I decided to have our first meal at a BBQ restaurant in Haeundae as I have planned to bring Dinos to nearby aquarium.

As we exited from Haeundae station exit 3, the restaurant is around 5min walk down the street.

Shop front is this.

Menu, they do have set meals but we chose to order ala carte.

Their menu is in Korean but with Google translate, we can order easily.

Also there are pictures on the tablet that is used for ordering so even if we didn't translate, we can just order from just seeing the photos.

We find it more convenient to travel around Korea this time round as most shops/ places of interest would have English/ Chinese translation. And Naver has English version to use which makes things much more easier as compared to relying on Google which doesn't work well in Korea.

We ordered one portion of pork belly, pork, pork ribs and mushroom to try first and see if the portions are enough for us.

Staff will help you to cook the meat though and placed on the small stone by the side of the pan to keep the meat warm as you eat.

The meats are very well marinated and we all love the pork ribs most. Dinos requested to have another portion even before finishing all the food.

We ordered 1 steam egg to try though and luckily we ordered 1 only because the portion is pretty big as they had used the normal stone bowl.

And of course I got excited see ramyeon because it is my comfort food at all times and more so in this cold weather.

Dinos tried a mouthful each and decided to ditch the white rice they are sharing with their dad, end up we have to order another bowl of noodles.

Total damage 84,000 won.

I did not opt to go for the more popular BBQ joints but decided to just randomly pop into 1 to try.

And just like Japan, Korea did not disppoint us with their food as whatever we had on this trip was delicious despite not having done much research.
