Xmas gifts Part 2

Mr Love's been pretty sweet..He offered to pay for 1 of my bags that i was eyeing to buy for myself as xmas gift cuz he says there is still left over from the budget he gave me to buy my gifts the other day n he dun mind spending it on the bag for me..whahah

Felt beri love, i mean whu wouldnt? He is some1 who dun spend this kind of money on himself..even for his new yr clothes, its juz 3 polo t-shirts n 2 bermudas..he didnt even get new jeans as he says he is nt wearing them often and the 2 he brought this yr are still new..nowadays he prefer to wear bemudas becuz of the hot weather.. neither did he buy new shoes, bags or watsoever..

Yet,he is willing to fork out money for me to buy the Kate spade bag which he tinks is over price juz becuz of the brand and without any questions ask..whahha..i was abit guilty la, cuz he dun even spend tis kind of money for himself and yet he is willing to spend on me juz becuz i like tat bag..

So in the end, i decided to forgo the bag...since i haf no shortage of bags and its juz another 1 of my "likes" instead of "needs"...muz learn to be a more thrifty person le..wgahhaha cannot keep spending at this rate...but seriously, i would need a new vacuum cleaner n a iron...I was actually gonna get it myself as Mr Love keeps saying tat they are still in good working conditions and he sees no point in replacing them..

But the vacuum cleaner, is like over 10yrs le lo...i brought over frm Mummy hse when we shifted to our hse cuz we are nt using as frequently as mummy and she brought a newer model..and i think recently it starts to smell when we were using it..so was thinkin of replacing it..

As for the iron, its kinda of peeling on the surface which i dunno y..and i am worried that it might transferred to the clothes when i am ironin and thus spoilling them..So i tink its high time tat i replace the iron instead of waiting for it to spoil 1 of my dresses..hehehe

So i told hubs tat i rather him to pay for that 2 items which i am tink its more neccesary than my Kate Spade bag...heheh He seems quite impressed with me and yesh, tonitez we are gonna shop for these 2 items..i will leave the ironin till i get my new iron...whahahah

How I spent my Boxing day

While plp might be opening their Xmas gifts today, I've oredi open mine long long ago...whahah and even start using them...whahaha...so Boxing day is a day for me to BOX plp onli..whahah who else but my Mr Love?heheh..

But alas, i lost to him in today's boxing match..By boxing match i mean that the struggle to get out of bed on wkends..its the same old story every wkend...we will try to kick each other out of the bed 1st to go wash up while the other 1 gets to slp/roll/lie snuggle for another 5-10 mins depending on how fast the person is..whhaaha

I lost to him totally today...no matter how i box him with my bloster, pull n twist his ears, trying hard to push him out of the bed, pulling his smelly pillow,blanket, anything that he used to cover himself away, he juz would not budge..in the end, i gave up, cuz i am out of breath le...so i self declare tat i've lost and got up to wash up 1st..

After breakfast, its spring cleaning time!!!Ermmm, think i brought too much clothes le..whahah n my wardrobe is threatening to give way any time, its time to throw out the old clothes n make way for the new 1..HOHOHO..

Plus, on the list today is to wipe clean all the super dusty shelves..been putting of for a few wks due to exams n i realli cannot stand the dust any more..put off any longer, i tink my skin allergies are coming bak...So it took me 2 hrs juz to wipe of the dust on each n every shelf in my room...and another 15min to change my bed sheet, finally its to vacuum and mop the floor...my back are breaking now and i still have 1 more task to do..that is to iron our weekly supply of clothes...wwahhhhhhhh i sound like an ah sum...whahahha....

Its gonna be a beri tiring day for me and i look forward to go bak to my knitting once i am done with all the hse work..plus Mr Love is gonna buy back the last polar bear for me frm LJS..hehehe... Happy Boxing day every 1..

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...

While most of the peeps are out partying the nitez away, hubs and me choose to go hm n chill out after dinner...

We sat in front of the tv, eating the roasted peanuts brought in NTUC, drinking iced jolly shandy...whahaha it was pure bliss, to spend ur xmas eve with your love 1 doing nothing in ur own hse..

It would be more perfect is it's snowing outside and we are sitting beside a fire place watching tv along with the snacks, but this is SG, i noe, whaahha, so its juz day dreaming on my part kk..

Nevertheless, i wish to experience a white xmas once in my lifetime..heheh It would be so so romantic isnt it?

MEERY XMAS EVERY 1...

the season of giving and receiving...

Its Xmas soon and Mr Love says he wanna buy me smthign for Xmas n our upcoming 2 yrs wedding anni which is in Jan..heheh He tried to get me to go shopping with him, which is a pretty rare invitation but i turned him down twice..whahaha cuz i juz wanna go hm n do my knitting which is behind schedule le...

I noe I should haf pick up his hint but my tots are all on my knitting..whahaha So in the end, he gave up, he told me straight tat becuz he wanna buy something for me, tat's y we are going shopping..whahah Tok about surprises, there is totally none...the reason tat he didnt go n pick 1 for me is he says he wans me to choose on my own...


He told me his budget, and brought me to the jewelleries shop for me to pick up something tat i like..Went to a few shops and finally decide that I like the designs in Soo Kee better...heheh I was tinking of getting a new pendant this yr as he brought me the rock for my bday earlier this yr...


And 1 caught my eye, it is a crown embedded inside a heart and it is a 3D design, which is different from the conventional 2D..2 of my favourite designs in 1 pendant...i was looking for a snowflake at 1st but there was none...heheh..


Mr Love den point out that the other design of 2 hearts interlocking is aso nt bad..I tried it on, its nice but abit pricely as there are more diamonds on the pendants as compared to my choosen 1...we went ard the shop and i saw tis ring with 2 stars joining together and ask the SA to let me try it on, turns out tat the size is juz rite..its pretty difficult to get the correct ring size for me in the shops as my fingers are bigger than most gals, most of the time, we have to wait for them to alter to my size..whahahh

So, its decision time,I am consider a fast shopper, i dun like to try 1001 design n den decide..i would juz try wat caught my eye and design between the few choosen 1..its down to these 3, n Mr Love told me that i could get a pendant n a ring, no need to choose juz 1...hehehe...So i needa make a choice betweeen the 2 pendants...


He actually prefer the interlocking hearts but the auntie in me acts up and i find it more pricey and in the end, I choose the crown within the heart..heheh its the tots that counts and i dun need to buy the more expensive 1..and on top of it, i like the crown in the heart pendant juz as much..Mr Love says it symbolises that I am a princess in his heart:)))))

Total damage to his wallet is half of his budgeted amount to me..whahah he says i am a easily contented woman, maybe, i am, but seriously I am realli contented and happie tat he did rememeber our special occassion and took the effort to get me something although his initial surprise plan falls apart...whahhah..

Knitting updates-1

Hmmmm...progress is not up to my expectations..it took me nearly a wk to finish the 1st roll...which means i've got 5 more rolls..still will be in time for our trip if nothings goes wrong but i would not be able to finish 1 more matching 1...

it was my plan initially to do 2 scarf - blue n pink for both of us to wear during the trip but i guess time is not on my side and i gotta shelf this plan till the next trip..nevertheless i will give it my best shot to try knit 2 of this within these few wks...

A lighter note on this whole knitting business, when i finished knitting the 1st roll, i did not noe how to continue to the 2nd roll..heheh so i went bak to the shop to seek help from the instructors..you noe wat? it turns out that there is no magic, all u have to do is to tie a knot bwt the 2 ends of the 2 rolls..=_=''

the trip there onli lasted 5min...n it took me 1n half hrs for travelling to n fro...well done lele well done....

出的了厅堂，入的了厨房。。

If you ask me a few yrs ago whehther i would like to learn cooking or cook smthing for my family, i would answer u "wan eat, go downstairs n buy" its faster, easier n cheaper..Fast forward to a few yrs later, when i'm oredi married for nearly 3 yrs oredi, my mindset has changed..

I would definitely love to be able to wipe up a decent meal for Mr Love n me..by decent meal, i mean with veg, meats n soup..So,i've searching for simple receipes online to let this noob to start her virigin cooking..heheh

But the thing is, Mr Love does not like Chinese cuisine..or rather he prefers western 1 and he "ordered"chicken chop..whahah..so its chicken chop that i will cook but nt the conventional kind..its abit of east meets west...whahah

I 1st season the chicken meats in abalone sauce that i got off shelf in NTUC..hehehe also brought brown gravy so that could heat up n pour over the chickie meat...i aso try to re create the pork chop meats that mummy use to cook for us season in light soy sauce n pepper..but i tink need eat some corn floor but i forgot bout it till when i started cooking..too late..whahah the meat turns out to be okie wif juz the seasonin..so didnt add in the sauce..

i aso fried some fries n brought chilli power to sprinkle on the fries..that is Mr Love's favourite i must say..spend quite a few hrs in the kitchen to prepare and cook..its all pretty easy 1 might say, but it sure isnt easy for me as i dun usually cook...

As i mentioned earlier in 1 of my posts, i will work slowly towards the goal of cookin up a proper meal..heehe it, takes time..next wkend, will try the chinese cuisine le..hopefully will turn out well...

Its kinda of surprisin how marriage can change 1 person is it? whahahha

Sore loser

Was reading the news on Yahoo today and someting caught my eye..MBS is suing some guy for not repaying his debt of 300,000 after losing it on the gambling tables..

The guy rebuked that they shdnt have grant him the extra credits to gamble and he would not chalked up such an amount and thus he thinks he shdnt repay..i was like WTF??u mean you think u can gamble and lost and expect not to repay cuz its the casino fault of granting you the extra credit? I mean wat is you win and the casino would not give you the prize on the pretext that they shdnt have granted u extra credits for you to gamble and thus allowing you to win more of their money??this is not logical rite?

Dun misunderstand, i am not supporting gambling but it juz irks me to see plp behave this way. Get a life man, if you wan gamble, you should be prepared to face the consequences.Dont be a sore loser and start repaying your debts to avoid further embrassement.

I think this is only the start of the bigger problem that is gonna hit our society..Gambling will shows a persons' worst side and true enuff in this case, it highlighted his..This guy is perhaps lucky as it was reported that he comes from a wealthy background. Think of those who comes from a not so well do backgorund, how on earth are they gonna repay this 300,000?

Government shd perhaps look into banning all citizens from our casinos..juz like South Korea..but then again, quite a big portion of the earnings comes from locals..I suppose there is no perfect solution to everyting is there?

Its knitting time!!!

Its has always been my wish to knit something for Mr Love, cuz i find it heart warming to wear something that i have made with my own effort and time..but given the hot weather in SG, it virtually impossible to let Mr Love wear 1 of my creation, so i shelf this idea for the longest time..

Recently,after our Taipei trip, Mr Love makes his stand veri clear that for all future overseas trips, we are to go during winter or at least autumn time so as not to suffer under the same heat in SG..

While on the ferry to Rig visit the other day, i dunno wat strike me and suddenly i have an idea to go learnt knitting and wanted to knit a muffler for Mr Love. it will keep him warm in winter and will fulfill my wish of knittin something for him..Plus, we will be able to use for quite sometime as we will be going to cold overseas trips from now on...Most importantly, as we will be going to Shanghai during CNY, it will be able to serve as a wedding anniversary gift next yr..

With this in mind, i went to Chinatown in search of a place to learn knitting..there is this shop in People's park complex which will teach you for free if you were to buy the materials from them...no doubt, the materials to make it will cost few times more than those we buy off shelves but then,i still insist in makin 1 of my own and i look forward to seeing Mr Love wearing it during our next overseas trip..

Will update more on my knitting progress as i go along..heheh hope can complete it in time for our trip...
