1st time

Its the 1st time I stayed over at my parent's in law hse using identity of Daughter in law and I believe the next time will goin to very very long time after.

Dun get me wrong, nothing serious happen during my stay here, its juz tat I am not very use to stayin here..This is not where I grow up after all and I am not able stay here as comfortably as hubs...Tat being said, I rather to be the 1 adjusting then to let him be the 1 adjusting to my hse...

I am glad that we have our own hse, though under renovations now, but ultimately, we will be shifting home to our own nest..Stayin with in-laws, kept me on my toes the whole day, which is a pretty diffcult thing to do given my nature,i will forget to keep myself in check after 5mins of acting good..whhahah..

I realised privacy is something we lack seriously if staying with in laws, the couple time we have are limited to bed times and the very morning rush hr when hubs drive me to work..Though a shy person and do not display PDA outside, hubs is actually quite loving while we are alone, now that we r here, we cannot hug openly, cannot give each other pecks as and when we feel like it...

Usually, we r obliged to stay in the living room after dinner to make small tok but many times i would prefer to go bak to the room for some couple time, thus making us look abit anti social..

I seriously look forward to going home, i still prefer visiting my in laws during wkend, staying for a couple of hrs to chat and then going home...With this, at least we are seeing each other's best side and can avoid uneccesary conflicts tat arises from little details of our everyday life..

Live from Parents' In law hse

Its been nearing a week since we moved back to my parent's in law hse due to my hse renovations..So far, so good..hehe..I muz say they are pretty tolerant towards us since we brought bak wat it seems like our whole room bak to their hse and dump it inside my sis in law's rm..heheh

Poor SIL, she have to give up her room to us in midst of her exams..and the room is like, I dun dare to describe..heheh

Meanwhile, I get to eat home cooked food doubled with home boiled soups...Did I mentioned that my MIL is a great cook?I think I gonna grow fat during my short stay here..

The move here is not without any drawback. Having changed my job to the west just recently, it will take a longer time to travel to work though Mr Love is driving me. Aso, I still dun realli adjust to life here in my pil hse. Time and again, I need to remind myself cannot be as chin chye as I am bak home or my mum's hse. On the other hand, Mr Love is hafin a great time bak in his parents' hse. I guess the role will be reverse shd we moved to my mum's hse..But, I tend to adjust better than Mr Love, hence this decision.

Hopefully, things will turn out fine and I will stop waking up at 4.50am to the sound of thunder..AGGGGGRRRRR

Lock down

The past few days whizzed in such that left me breathless, many things happen and I hope to put it behind me. Lets not tok about it as I do not wish to mention certain hurtful things.

Renovation is due to start next wed, my hse is offically in a lock down mode. Contractor had came by to put up the renovation notice, inform our immediate neighbours of the work that is gonna be done and now, we can only cross our fingers that no 1 will make a din bout the noise pollution. There is after all 2 renovations going on at the same time, 1 being my hse, the other is the school next door. My neighbours are going to suffer BIG time and I pity them.

With all the packing and throwing, it amazes me how many things my store can hold.. Just those plastic/paper bags, we threw out 9 bags. Not to mention those that my tenants took away with them, and those I screened thru and kept..Man, the 2 leading ladies (Me & my tenant) can realli shop well. These are accumulate from the shopping we done over the years..

As I cleared out our wardrobe, my clothes filled up 2 big and 1 small zip lock bag (the biggest u can get in Daiso) while hubs onli filled up 1 big, 1 small..heheh..Tat excludes those I threw and gave away over the years..Now I noe where my monies are..hehe..

Even my bags, juz that branded 1 alone, filled up a big box that mummy dearest brought for me. It is said to be anti-Moisture which are essential for the leather bags..Not that I onli go for branded, those bags I have over the years, which are still in good working condition are kept in another box..Of cuz, I threw away another big bag of bad conditions 1s..

I struggled to fix my 2bed rooms & store rooms with all the boxes and sealing them up as properly as I could. Now, I wait anxiously for the renovations to start as well as excitedly for it to be complete. Then, another round of packing would start, this time is out of the boxes and back to their respective positions..

How tiring. But at least, it gives me a sense of accomplishment, this is my house, my home :)

Birthday trip to Macau/Hong Kong 2012- Hotel Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16/Michael Jackson Museum

While we were still worrying how to locate Ponte 16, I realised there is a woman giving out flyers on Ponte 16 hotel casino. So I went and enquired and realised that the hotel is just straight in front. So happy to find our 1st destination that easily.

Bus company near the drop of point
Even older looking buildings

Signs to central area
As we walked along the street to Ponte 16 Hotel, we came across a convenience stall and I was excited. So, we stopped by and let me stock up on some snacks for tonight. Mummy was fainting from all the snacks we brought. I end up buying 1 whole bag full of chips, chocolates, instant noodles which are consider essentials items for hubs & me. Hehe.

Hotel Interior
The Michael Jackson Musuem is located at 2nd level of the hotel. You will have to pass through a cafe where a statue of  Michael Jackson is located near the entrance. There is an escalator which will leads to the level where many exhibits of Michael Jackson are on display. There is no admission charge and you don't even need to make any purchase at the cafe to get it. Cool!

Statue at entrance of the cafe, check out my bag of snacks
On the 2nd level, photos, socks, boots, signed albums, hats, bling bling glove are displayed. There are not replicas it seems but I am not sure whether they are donated by MJ before his death or by his family after his death.

Photos of the legendary Neverland
Moonwalk shoe and hat
It was an eye opener for us since from young we had been listening to his songs. I rememeber that duirng the visit to Genting game arcade, my both brothers got hooked to a game featuring MJ and would sit there all day long to play the game while mummy went to the casino with the other aunties.

Sign hats collection

Diamante glove
Also showcased here are the history of King of Pop and his early years. Though in this later years, he sort of turn into a bit weird, but who can forget the great songs that he sung?

Diamante socks, wondered are they washed?

MJ, in his younger days
His platinum CD
High boots
We spend half an hour here looking at the exhibits and photo taking. It was nice to visit in the morning since there is no crowd to speak of. There is also a gift shop on this level selling MJ merchandises. We brought a few items here and left the hotel.

I think there is a casino here based on the brochure we recevied earlier but didn't bother to go check it out. Hehe. Next stop, Ruins of St Paul.

Birthday trip to Macau/Hong Kong 2012- Getting to Macau Penisular from The Venetian

We woke up to a cool morning and had breakfast in our room. There is no breakfast provided here and thus you will have to settle it yourselves.

Early morning view from hotel room
Friendship bridge
Bro is not joining us for the morning travelling as he needs to settle some work stuff. And so, we set out to see how to get across to Macau Penisular from where we are. There are buses plying from here to Macau Penisular but I cannot figure out where the bus stop is located.

Tried asking the staff and they gave me a even better idea. Turns out, there is a free shuttle service from The Venetian to Macau Penisular and it stops near to the city centre and the 1st stop of our visit today- Ponte 16 Hotel.

Shuttle bus stop at Venetian Hotel
Reason for going to Ponte 16 hotel is that we want to visit the Michael Jackson Museum located inside. I initially planned this for piggy bro but decided to go ahead even though he is not joining us this morning.

Bus we took to Macau City Centre

Security van
Flats along the way

On friendship bridge

Journey to Macau penisular is pretty fast and we crossed the bridge that joins the penisular to Taipa. Its a gloomy morning and I didn't get to see much on the bridge.

1st look on Macau Penisular
The 1st impression I had for Macau penisular is that the buildings here are much older looking as compared to Taipa. Perhaps Taipa was developed much later and thus the modern buildings.

School

Street view

We were dropped near a Maritime terminal and was told there we could come here to board the bus returning to The Venetian. And so, our adventures in Macau Penisular begins.

Birthday trip to Macau/Hong Kong 2012-Dragon's treasure show @ City of Dreams

Bro had suggested to watch "Dragon's treasure" show at City of Dreams located at Hard Rock Hotel and having no other better suggestions, we decided to all go along.

Hard rock hotel is opposite to our hotel though quite a distance away and we decided to walk there. It is much later then we realised that the major hotels all have buses inter plying between them. Stupid to walk in the 10degreees night.

Night exterior of Venetian Macao
Not sure why but I find the hotels here really spaced apart with vast lanes in between them. It is not impossible to walk but just tiring as there is nothing to see except roads in between them. I guess it is only limited to this part of Macao as we saw a different Macao on the next day.

Us outside the brightly lit hotel
Bro looking very funnie here
From afar
And we reached the City of Dreams
The pretty fountain outside
We reached City of dreams after a 10min walk, there is a pretty fountain outside but the weather is too cold for us to stand outside to admire the sight.

The show is scheduled to run every 30min and we were just in time for the next show. Surprisingly, there is a big crowd today. Tickets are priced at MOP 50 each and we quickly enter to the theater after buying the tickets.

Jelly fish look alike
It is all dark inside the theater and there are no seats. Its a dome like theater and since we are pretty late in entry, only managed to find a space at the back of the crowd who is crowding around the circular center, waiting for the show to start.
Show starting
Truth to be told, I am not very impressed by the show. The dome shaped theater is a killer for those watching. As the show proceeds, turning round and round, you have to keep turning to catch the show. It somehow makes me dizzy and cannot follow up with the pace.

Main character- Dragon

Overflowing monies
I didn't really follow the story line as I was busy following the graphics. Think its about 4 dragons (which looks the same to me) showing the power of dragon pearls and showing us their magical kingdom.
Under the sea

I am also not really sure of the duration of the show but it is definitely not more than 30min. As we exit from the theater, we decided to walk around the hotel to pass them. There is nothing much here except for a casino which looks pretty empty. I am still searching for a convenience store to buy my snacks.

Mummy posing outside Hard Rock Hotel

After walking around, we came across MacDonalds and were quite happy. Made mummy promised that if we cannot get anything decent for breakfast tmr, we would come here for breakfast.

Macdonalds @ City of Dreams

And we started posing

See the pig
We began our walk back to hotel after that and bro suggested to go check out the surroundings. We found nothing and decided to call it a night.

Empty Macao street at night
Major hotels were all brightly lit.
Super old school parking

Bro brought us to this egg tart shop which sells Portuguese egg tarts and we brought a few for supper and breakfast.

It was nice alright and for the next 2 days we were here, we keep buying from this shop.

I ate 2 that night
