Tennis anyone?

After joggin juz nw, we watched others played tennis as we sat to rest before Mr Love continues to do his pull up..

Was telling him I used to wish to take up tennis but becuz of the high coachin fees, I gave up the idea.. Unlike badminton which I picked up on my own, I find tennis more difficult though I did not have a chance to try it yet..

I nearly did once during my poly yrs, but I got posted to the volleyball grp when the no. of students were full..

Anyways, I aso didnt tell Mr Love that part of the reason I wanted to learn tennis is becuz the guy i used to haf a crush on is an avid tennis player and was on my sec sch team..
But then I aso like the game la..whahahah..

While we were watching them, Mr Love suddenly offered to teach me the game, telling me he had got a Level 1 certificate in coaching from Sports council..But the point is, he neber learnt it before lo..So much for offering to be my coach..

In the end, the dream gotta be shelf again..I wondered will I be able to learn tennis..whahaa

Hafing been with Mr Love thru his NS days, I hear countless stories of his NS days.. In fact, I noe every little detail lo..He will tell me stories when he book out during wkends, during our nightly calls (when he is lucky enuff to be able to call) and even after he ORD, he would aso re-tell his stories again..whahah

And so, he was feeling bored 1 day and decided to find bak some of his fond memories..and so, we went to Changi Village food centre to eat the food he used to order for supper during his guard duties..

While there, we see quite a handful of army guys frm his camp buying food from the stalls tat he used to patronised..and he told me tat, it seems like they passed the routine from batch to batch, all ordering the same food during guard duty...whahah

The onli difference now is, we are njoying the food without having to serve duty while back then, onli during duty times, he can order in the food..

Its a wonder how we become fwens given the short period we known each other and the fwenship is going on the 8th yr..

I was posted to STE TBU-installation team for my industrial attachement program bak in 2003..Was 19 then and I was the onli 1 from my program being allocated to this project despite hafin 30+ coursemates in the same co.

Got to noe Jo, who later became my didi was aso assigned to the same dept but he is from another polytechnic..We found out about 1 wk later that we both are born on same day,month and yr with 5hrs apart..And I am the older twin...whahah

Ah Xiong who is my course mate joined after I finish serving my IA, but as I extended my time there, I got to know him in STE..funnie thing is, we did not even noe each other in poly..

Chris and Jie Jie belongs to the admin team and our cubicle are side by side...And they always shared their tins of biscuits with us, chat when we r free since we are juz beside each other..I am aso not sure when did we formed a grp..but I rem Chris givin me rides back to the west area where he takes night classes..

Shu shu is still with the installation team when we r serving our IA there, it is onli later after we went bak to sch den he got transferred to the Signals team..Out of the all the engineers tat, shu shu is the onli 1 who take most care of us and is the closest to us...

Besides imparting his knowledge to us, we will bully him into buying breakfast and tea breaks for us...heheh..He will aso entertain us with his endless stories and his funnie funnie ideas..whahha..

Every 1 moved on to different phase of our lives but still, we managed to keep in contact..Having gatherings once in a blue moon to catch up on our recent happenings..
I'm grateful to haf crossed paths with them in my life and will treasured this fwenships..

Cold turkey

Last nite, Mr Love was telling me he is hungry and wanna eat our fav chips brought from AMK..heheh...

I told him tat cannot, cuz he keep saying tat he is gettin fatter, thus snacking is out of the question..

He was torn between eating and not eating with me keep teasing him on putting on weight...whahah

Noe wat he did in the end, he went into our covers and act like he is shivering under the covers..

When I asked him wat he is doing, he said that he is suffering from cold turkey from not able to eat the chips...whahhaah

I luff for a good 5 min while waiting for him to fnish his act...

Maiden trip to Boleh land southern most city

Fwens ard noe me as half a msian, as mummy is frm boleh land..I used to spend my holidays there during my sch yrs..

But mummy will not bring us on day trips to JB though her hometown is in Johor state. Reason being, it is not safe AT ALL...with the stories we heard, news we saw, mummy neber felt safe bringing us there..

Tat being said, I aso did not attempt to go there on my own, even when friends will ask me along during my poly yrs..Mummy dun give visa la...

Recently, Mr Love's colleague had been raving on how good the massage there are, making him super tempted to go try..And after much discussion, we decided to make a trip there last sunday afternoon...

We were suppose to go with bestie & her baker but pulled out last min..They are gonna shop for lights n curtains while we are more interested in pampering ourselves..

Woke up late at 11am (wat's new) and took a heavy breakfast as I'm afraid we will be struck in the jam and starve to death...Okie, it is juz me who will be strave to death..whahha..

Cleared both customs an hr later..The thing I dun like about boleh land's customs is that their efficiency..Can vomit blood ar..The way the officer filp our passport pg by pg makes me wanna jump out of the car to slap him and ask him to wake up and do the job..No wonder the jam at their side was so long..

Then, we relied on our not veri realiable GPS to bring us to Sutera Mall in Skudai.. Though I noe how to make my way bak to mummy's hometown, but sad to say, I am not able to navigate my way thru JB town..whahahha..I onli noe how to get to the expressway and go hm..*bleah*

According to bestie, the mall is quite near to customs de..But it took us more than half an hr to travel there...At 1 point, the both of us were wondering whether the GPS is not accurate, but then it seems like its the correct way in the end and it is indeed half an hr from customs..

The carpark was quite empty when we reached at 12.30 and we went to explore the mall and cool ourselves down 1st..After that, Mr Love decide that he wanted to search for the massage centre and then we proceed outside..

He beri best lo, didnt bring the name of the centre, did not bring the map that his colleague had drawn for him and ask me to juz randomly walk ard to search for it, base on the description that he vaugely rememebered..The are at least 5 rows of shops each stretching at least 1 whole street there..

Juz as I was gettin frustrated, I suddenly see this shop which provides massage service..Not sure whether this is the 1 his colleague recommend but i am too lazy to walk any further and I decided to go in le..

The charges are RM68 for an hr of foot massage and 30min of half body massage..Which is pretty cheap as compared to SG charges..We were then brought to a room where we waited for the masseurs to come..As we waited, did abit of camwhore and I played ard with the TV...hehehe

In summary, I quite like the foot massage although it is quite ticklish at times..And I can realli feel tat my legs got lighter after that when I stood up...Mr Love thinks otherwise though..He finds it painful..I reckon tat its becuz he did not tell the masseur that the strength was too much and he juz bear with the pain..whahah

The 30min half body massage was not so good though as I think it is not enuff..and i can still feel the ache in my shoulders after the massage..We decided to go try Thai massage the next time as hubs did not realli njoy their service..

It was already 2.30 when we finished the massage session and headed for lunch in the mall..Settled for a cafe name "Star Rock" and ordered my main course..Both of us ordered pastas and a plate of wedges to share..Bill was ard RM40 and is considered after the exchange rate..Food was good aso..

Didnt do any shopping there and decided to head hm after my meal..It is already 4pm when we left and we reached SG at 5.30pm...

I think Mr Love is in love with going on this short trip as it is something different from where we go in SG...

I luv my mummy....

It was raining cats & dogs as I made my way to work yesterday..On days like this, I always curse and swear as I tried to squeeze my way into/out of MRT, trying to get on the buses w/o getting wet/pushed by those KIASU plp...but wat to do? Every 1 is trying to do the same ting at the same time, some1 gotta end up getting wet in the process dependin on whether u r the suay 1...

Anyways, after coming out frm the concourse, I spotted a daddy trying to dry his young sch-going daughter..Even with an umbrella, she still got wet, and then proceed to help her changed into her sch shoes from her slippers..And he look so loving to his daughter..It made me smiled as I recalled my younger sch days..

Mummy is famous for not bringing us to sch/waking up to prepare us for sch..But on days that have super heavy rain, she would still get her lazy bum off the bed and instruct us to go to sch in slippers and pack our sch shoes and socks in a plastic bag and hand carry to sch..Then she will go to sch with us and let us changed into our sch shoes at the canteen b4 going home and continuing her slp.whahaha

This happens when I was in pri sch where the sch is juz 2blks away frm my hse..I would secretly be happie that it is raining so heavily cuz I get to walk to sch with mummy which is rarer than the chance of striking Toto..

I remembered 1 more incident that when I was in kindergarden.It was raining super heavily and the drains were all flooded..When we came in front of the drain, mummy told me she would piggy back me up the stairs so tat I would nt get wet..And she piggy back me all the way back to our blk but not up to our hm which is on the 4th floor(bleah)..

It was the 1 and onli time in my memory that my mummy piggyback/carry me..Of cuz nt counting when I was an infant (I have no distinct memories bak then)..Her attention was always on the younger rascal who was 3yrs younger and took away my attention when i was 2 as she had to prepare me for his arrival...

The scene yesterday realli made my day, despite having to brave the rain to work..It reminds me how much mummy luv me although while trying to train us to be independent...She is still there for me whenever I need her the most...Luv u mummy... *muacks*

李式笑话 -Joke of the day-28/09/11

Went for dinner after our jog, as we walked past Mac, Mr Love was pointing to the new burger that they haf..

Then I was telling him, wanna eat mac muz go for lunch...All the servings are the same but it is much cheaper at $4.50 or 5bucks...Those who go for dinner are stupid lo..cuz they waste monies...

Then he reply "Den you walk into Mac now lo and point to every 1 and shout "你们都是笨蛋！！！" den quickly run out..

I luff for a good 3min after he said tat and as we past by Mac, he keep urgin me to go in.

My hubs has the ability to crack lame jokes at unpredictable time..

Wrong side of the bed

Today was a bad day for me..so much so tat I suspect I woke up from wrong side of the bed..1st to affect me is the stupid trains and buses were all out of schedule today..makin me arrive 10mins later den usual..

Not that I'm late for work since I usually arrive at 7.25 but I juz dun like e idea of arrivin later than usual even though I left my hse at the same time..I noe, I noe, some days there bound to haf a delay here n there..but today is also 1 of those days I find fault with almost everything..

Den juz as I was about to eat my breakie,I realized my bread had gone bad..more specifically is the egg inside the bread had gone bad..i neber had this problem when buying this bread previously..and I get abit cranky without a decent breakie..

Then I realise my nose allergy doesn't seems to go away and I have to live with the "running tap" the whole day which is pretty irritating..

Last up is work..nothing is smooth for the whole morning..wat suppose to be a simple thing takes me nearly a whole morning doin wild goose chase to close off..and I was dealt with a second blow juz as I solved the 1st problem...

Yes I'm super pissed today..goin for my jog later and I reckon tonitez' dinner gonna be a beri big portion..

Hopefully tmr I will get up at the right side of my bed..

The best decision I ever made

A veri common reaction I got from plp when they learnt tat I got married at 24 is "So, how many kids you have now?"

It's a norm for plp to assume ours was a shot gun marriage, n when they learnt that Mr Love is 1 yr older onli, all the more they are convinced.

You noe, sometimes, I wondered whether we gt married too young, while the average age here to settle down is 27/28 we tied the knot at 24/25.. While fwens ard us are juz onli gettin married or planning to get married or juz gotten married, we r movin on to the 4th yr of of our marriage..

Things are certainly different now as compared to bak then, we have matured as we grow, learnt more about each other after stayin together, gotten used to the things tat we cannot stand at the beginnin of our marriage, haf more 默契 as we go along..

Sometimes,it juz take a certain movement, we will noe wat is on the other half's mind, need not spell out everything..yet, everyday, we are learning new things about each other..

Looking bak,it's realli bold of us to jux tie the knot without realli givin much tots, for we r in love..I didn't regret the decision made nearly 4yrs ago on 21st OCT 2007 to apply for the flat..for I think it's the best decision I ever made..

Today is juz nt my day

Had a tough day at work..mistakes not made by me,I bore the consequences, things should not be done by me, I'm tasked to do..

Everywhere, plp wan results but not responsibilities..n yours truly is at the receiving end when responsibilty are pushed ard..if it still get work done, I'm still okie..the problem is despite my efforts,some plp juz wun move..Fine, if u can heck care, so do I..

Totally hate the a**h*** who spoilt my otherwise beautiful Monday morning..called me pantang but things started to go wrong from then on..

I'm so lookin forward to the run later with Mr Love where I can let out all the fustrations.. Hopefully tmr will be a better day

New activity

Since our trip to Shanghai earlier this yr, we fell in love with tea drinking..Not any tea, but specifically Chinese green tea-Long Jin..

Den in mid-may, mummy made a trip to her hometown, Fujian, this time, she brought bak lots and lots of Tieguanyin which is stronger than Longjin..

Both Mr Love and I love drinking both types of tea..And now, if we had a hearty meal, we will brew some tea to sip and drink...hehhe And seriously, it does clear our system faster..Hheheh..

So, whenever we are free at night, we will brew tea and chat while drinking tea..ehhehe Romatic eh?

Lunch date

Mr Love was running an errand near to my office today and we decided to meet for lunchie...

Reason being, for 3 consecutive nights, I have dinner dates and thus did not manage to take dinner with him, this is by far the most busy week these few mths, for I dun usually go out more than 2nights per wk..Sch and working ot are excusable..heheh

Anyways, we went for a quick lunch at Ikea before walking bak to my office which is 15mins away..

So we make the walk bak to office hand in hand...Feels abit like wkend where we will take a stroll after meal..whahah...

Parted ways at the bus stop when he took bus hm while I made my way bak to the war field..

Its sweet to have this super short lunch date today and yes, it certainly makes my day:)

Nite out with Part time boyfriend...

Its been a long time since I last meet up with part time..Last wk, she msg me and asked for a meet up this wk and I jumped at the chance..hehe

We haven realli found time to chat after the incident and we realli grab the chance to fill each other in with our happenings during the past few mths..

I am glad for the chance to meet her today am is happie that she is doin well..

Stay positive

I am wondering how to stay positive amid the negative news..i tried my best but still was being affected by it...End up stayed up the whole nite without slp..

I tried means n ways to get them of my mind but to no avail..

Maybe Boss is rite, by spending time at work, at least it takes my mind off the issue..At least this is how I felt recently though work is not smooth also but by keeping myself busy at work, I haf no other time to think of other things..

Its bak to waiting again and so keeping myself sane is beri important...

Let me juz sink myself in my world today and tmr I will be bak on my feet..Juz today pls...

Dream holiday destination...

17 yrs ago, mummy brought the 3 of us to Club Med Cherating together with my aunties and grandma..It was a memorable trip and we njoy ourselves to the max..

We had always wanted to go bak there but after yrs of toking, nothing is firm up...The other day, Mr Love was telling me about the Club Med adv he saw on TV and was tempted to make a trip there since he had learnt frm me that how nice the resorts are..

But the problem is, the 1 he saw was the resort in Maldives..Just the cost of flying there is expensive, we had not even take in the resort pricings..

In the end, we put off the idea..It was a place to dream of, but it is juz not practical to go unless we have extra cash..

While relating to mummy the other day, she suggested a family trip to Club Med Cherating again, this time with a new family member-Mr Love..heheh I love this idea for its been a long time since we went on a trip as a family..the last 1 was after my O-levels b4 my piggy bro got enlisted..Since then, we had not been able to make time for a full family trip..It is always 1 of us with mummy onli...

The resort will be closed during yr end during to flooding in Msia East Coast, so the earliest we can make the trip is early next yr...Thinking of the trip alot makes me so excited..I look forward to the trip and 1 day, hopefully Mr Love and I will be able to go the Club Med Kani..Till then, I am contented to be making the trip to Cherating beach with my love ones...

Went to a restaurant named Porn's today for Cindy's bday celebration..Been wanting to try it out but no chance as Mr Love dun realli fancy Thai food..Luckily, Cindy had a craving for Tom Yum soup and Uncle C decided to go try out this place..Heehee..

The restaurant is located inside Safra Mount Faber and was decorated in retro settings...And the logo of the restaurant is an Elephant's ass with an X on it..whahaha..

Anyways, as I left the ordering to Cindy as I am able to take spicy stuff and we let her decide wat she wanna eat..Those who are able to take spicy stuff were seated together so that we are able to share the food :) I did not manged to take a photo of everything we order, but here are the 1's that I've eaten..

This is a must have, since Cindy was craving for it..She was told by the waiter that it serves 4-5pax so she ordered 1..But when it was served, our eyes nearly popped out, I can finished it alone lo together with 1 bowl of rice..whahah So in the end, she ordered another 1...

The soup was spciy, veri spicy..And it tastes beri authentic to me..But those not able to take spicy food, may find it a bit too hot to drink, juz asked JV, who turned bright red when she took a spoonful of it..All in all, I still like this soup..

I was neber a fan of mango salad as I dun realli like sour stuff, but since Cindy had order, I gave it a try...It is nice la but not to my liking..Hehehes..

1 of the rare veggies tat I eat..This is fried with Chilli...I expect it to be abit spicy but to my disappointment, it is not spicy at all..It is not this dish is not nice, but then I always like my kang kong to be spicy..hehehe

We ordered some finger food aso. 1 of it, being the prawn cake..It is abit on the expensive side I think, 7.90 for 3 if I am not wrong..It is not those "ohmygoditissofuckingnice" type..Juz on the so-so side..So if I get to choose, I may not order it again when I go there the next time..it belongs to the kind of dish that u will order once to try..

Thai style fish

The fish is quite fresh and it is cooked in thai style..I personally like this alot..Some thai style fish is more to the sour side by this 1, the sauce is not too sour, which suits my taste or perhaps, I didnt take much of the sauce when eating the fish..Nonetheless, the fish is aso quite fresh, I am able to taste the freshness of the fish..It is of quite big size..We shared it among 5 persons..

Durian Sticky rice

It took them quite awhile to make this dessert but after trying it out, I think it was worth the wait :)..The sticky rice were still hot when it was served to us, with a thick coconut sauce on top of the sticky rice..The durain served along with it was not hot but it went nicely with the sticky rice..I would surely order this again if I ever go there again..heheh but it is abit on the sweet side, so those without a sweet tooth shd seriously consider again...

All in all, the food there were quite nice, I didnt noe of other thai restaurant except Thai Express, so I can onli compare they 2..Porn's is definitely better than the lattter..Till when I find a better comparison, this will be the place I will go when I am craving for Thai food..

Personal time, personal space...

For the past few wkends, both Mr Love and I are tied up with events..

Fwen's weddings, Fwen's kid's bday party, visiting parents, running errands..Took up most of our wekend time..Not to mentioned I need some time to clean up our room during wkends as well as to sort out the laundry..

Been nt able to get a good rest even during wkends make us even more tired..The most important thing is, we are unable to find sometime for ourselves..

Hopefully after these few busy wks, we will be able to slow down the pace and find some time to go dating or to chill out at hm...I certainly look forward to this coming Oct's Taipei trip..Afterall, we will have all the time in the world to ourselves only :)

Been coughing persistently for the past 3wks due to the flu I had..every thing went away but the cough stayed...

It was veri irritating for me as I couldnt slp well at nite, neither do Mr Love..My coughing woke him up sometimes..

I tried cooking bird nest with american ginseng in hope that it can make my coughin better..But then it didnt go away lo..

I noe it will take awhile for the coughing to go away, hopefully the bird nest will work well in days to come..

Wedding Weekend

Its the wedding weekend as I attended 2 weddings straight in a row..1st 1 is Kelly's wedding on Sat..Kelly is 1 of my few still contacting sec sch mates..We shared alot of good times while in sec sch..

Seeing her wearing the wedding gown, smiling so brightly while minggling with the crowd reminds me of our good old times in sch...The onli difference is, seeing each other again after so many yrs..

Meet 3 sch mates there and it turns out that Kelly is aso like me, kept in touch with a handful of sch mates onli so I didnt get to see much of my old sch mates...Its good to see them again after 11 yrs :)

Yest, I attended Josiah's wedding with Shu Shu n Chris...We used to have gathering every few mths, but we stopped for quite a while as every 1 are busy witht their lifes..

We spent a good time catching up on our life and sharing few personal jokes of the good old times...When the person next to Shu Shu asked us bout our R/S with didi and how long we known him, it dawn on us that we have known each other for 8 yrs oredi..

From a student (19yrs old) to working adult to now getting married..Shu shu n Chris had seen us through the various important milestone in our life..To make things sweeter, both Jo n Me are born on the same yr, same mth, same day, that makes both of us twins with me being the elder 1...hehehe

The wedding yest reminds us tat we haven had a gathering in long time and I was tasked (as usual) to arrange for a gathering..

I am so happie to be able to catch up with old fwens during these 2 weddings and am gald that the friendship still remains as strong..

姑妈家 food pot

There is this restaurant that we will pass by whenever we goes to Lao Zhong Zhong for meals..I had always wanted to try it out as I have seen it on TV but didnt find an occasion to..

1 fine day, while on our way to Lao Zhong Zhong for dinner, we happen to find a lot outside this rest. And while I had a super bad day at work (wat's new given the situation now) I decided to change our dinner venue to here.. I have this bad habit that I will indulge in food whenever I am unhappy...

The place was pretty empty when we went in even though it is dinner time..I guess the location is abit off...Ambience was ok and the deco were so-so onli..The boss was pretty friendly, typical auntie looking, abit like my mummy pattern...eheheh Making me feel at home..heheeh Oh ya, her looks were made as the logo of the rest...the cartoon effect...whahah..quite cute...

We took awhile to look thru the menu and was deciding wat to eat...She was quite helpful, came to ask whether we need any recommendations as we looked like we cannot make up our minds..No, I politely decline her, I am juz deciding wat to get, no that we dunno wat we wan :)

In the end, we went for 1 Curry Cereal Prawn, 1 Belachan potato leaves, 1 fermented beancurd fried chicken and ABC Soup...


1st up is the the Curry Cereal Prawns (SGD 20)

This is cereal prawn but with curry flavour..Pretty new to me, I should say, abit spicy between the cereals while keeping the cereal taste...The prawns were big and juicy, you can taste the freshess of the prawns...If I did not remember wrongly, there shd be 8 prawns inside..

We found the price abit steep of tis dish as zi char stall would usually charge 12 or max 16 bucks onli..But the freshness/size of the prawns makes up for the price..I guess this is call, you get wat u pay huh....

We love the cereals and cleaned out every thing on the plate...hehehe

Next up is Belachan Sweet Potato Leaves (SGD 8)

I personally love sweet potato leaves as I find it to be soft..Hheheh I dislike those crunchy veggies..So usually I would choose between Sweet potato leaves or Duo Miao or kang kong..

For sweet potato leaves and kang kong, I would usually prefer them to be cooked spicy, be it sambal or belachan..When I ordered the Belachan flavor here, I had high expectations of it, expecting it to be spicy..

But this is a disappointment to me, for it is not spicy at all, and infact there is no fragrance of the belachan, it seems like the belachan is non existent at all making this dish abit tasteless..

Last dish is fermented fried chicken (SGD 8)

We wanted prawn paste chickie but since they dun serve, we settled for the next closest to it..heheh

The min. order for this dish is 8 mid joints, 1 for SGD 1, you can order more if there are more peeps, but 8 is kinda too much for the 2 of us, we managed to finish them nevertheless..

The chickie wings were quite well seasoned, at least I can taste the fermented beancurd in the meat aso..It tasted real well while served hot...The wings were quite big and tasty too, even though it is frozen wings, but you can still taste the freshness of the meat...

Its a good alternative to prawn paste chickie that we usually order and I like this as much...

Soup of the day (SGD 4)

Wat is a complete meal without soup? As Mr Love dun like to drink soup, I order a bowl of the Soup of the day  which is ABC soup...

The soup itself is quite tasty, I dun like to eat the ingredients inside, thus cannot comment on the meat/potatos/carrots..From the soup taste, it can be concluded that this has been stew for quite some time as it is quite thick and you can taste the sweetness of the pork in the soup..

For some 1 like me who do not realli fancy ABC soup, this is realli quite nice..

The total bill came up to be 44bucks, with no GST and no Service charge..As I deem it as a zi char place, the bill was abit on the high side, but Mr Love reminded me that settings were between a zi char stall and a restaurant, hence the higher pricing..

If  you asked me, I would not go there frequently cuz of the prices, but once in a while when I feel like indulging myself abit, I might still consider to go there to try other dishes, took a flyer of theirs and look thru their menu, there are other quite innovative dishes that they have on their menus which got me interested ;)
