New zi char haunt found-B K Fortune Seafood

My bestie tempted Mr Love and me with salted egg crabs e other day, offering to go dinner together but put off the meeting later on..whahah Making the 2 of us craving from salted egg crabs..

Yest, Mr Love pissed me off by baking out of his promise to do something n I was irritated..While trying to pacify me, he brought up the idea of going to eat crab today..hehe..Using the same line as my bestie, I told him dun bring me to eat becuz he wanna pacify me...whahah..but he told me he aso quite "gain" to eat..So we decided to go eat lo..

We actually planned to visit the 1 tat my bestie recommend but decide to save it to eat with her n ed..Whahah so In the end, we went to visit the 1 tat I saw from the forum..This zi char stall is famous frm their salted egg crab..

As stated in many forums, the place will start to fill up at 6.30pm, thus kiasu Mr Love n I went there at 5pm...whahah becuz we didnt take lunch la..We were the 1st customer kk..whahha Below are wat we odered :

1). Sambal Kang Kong

The kang kong here costs 6 bucks onli..Its actually quite worth it for this price. Its not so spicy yet with with a tat of sweetness in the gravy..This sambal Kang Kong is suitable for those who cannot take spicy food yet love sambal kang kong. The portion is aso pretty big for 2 persons..

2). Prawn Paste chicken

8 bucks for this dish..Its all mid-joints de..The mid joints are all pretty big and juicy and also the marinating is quite good, you are able to taste the prawn paste. Its best when eaten piping hot..I actually prefer to eat mid joints as compare to those other part's flesh... The chicken remains crispy even after it turns cold but of cuz dun expect it to taste as good as it is piping hot..I think there are 8 of them, which is quite alot for 2 person to eat..
3). Salted Egg Crab

Last but not least, is the recommended salted egg crab..According to the person there, they served us Indonesian crabs today which costs 32/KG. We ordered 2 crabs but I didnt ask to choose, I usually leave it up to the cook to choose de..

We were wowed by the appearance when it was served..The crabs were giantic can...The salted egg gravy looks tasty..Also, this is the dry version de, but not dry till no gravy..The crabs were aso deep fried 1st if I am not wrong, making the crabs abit too dry for my liking..The meat seems to be struck to the shell after all the deep frying..Nevertheless, you can taste the juicness of the meat as you eat but u juz need to more effort to peel off the flesh..

As usual, it should be eaten hot but we took too much time to eat initally and thus when we got to the rest of the crabs, it had turned cold le... Its does not help that I choose a wrong seat, with 1 of the fan facing us, making the food turn cold faster den usual..

The salted egg crab is aso fried with some chilli and onions.. but the crabs are not spicy at all, aso the salted egg is not too salty aso, and I think they used quite a generous portion of salted egg york..Some to deep fry with the crabs, others to stir fry with the crabs before they are served.

Over all, we find the food here to our liking. And the crabs cost 58 bucks..But the price are seasonal..Since we went there at 5pm, we were able to park our car along the street outside the coffeeshop and it is quite windy sitting by the side of the coffeeshop..The total bill came up to 75 bucks and with OCBC or Standard Chart Card, there is a 10% off..No GST or service charge.. It is quite a good deal lo and seldom zi char stall will accept CC de... Looking forward to go back there next time to try other dishes..But I tink shd go in a bigger grp so will be able to order more..
