Korea Late Winter Sonata 2015-Busan-Shinsegae Centum City Department Store

Shinsegae Centum City Department Store is located at Centum City station (Busan Line 2). This is  the largest shopping center in Korea or reportedly World with a golf course, Jjimjilbang, cinema, ice rink, departmental store and more all under one roof.

Station plate name
Since the department store is joined to the metro, you will see the entrance after exiting the gates. I came here with the thought of visiting Spa Land- Korea's jimjilbang or bathhouse. But Mr Love was not keen on the idea of sauna or bathing with unknown Korean males naked. So we gotta give it a miss which was pretty disappointing for me since I wanted to experience jjimjilbang here.. Oh well.

Main entrance after exiting Metro
Since it was dinner time, we went around earching for food and came across the food court in B1.
It was similar to our Singapore version.

Beeper
We found seats in no time and I went to look around the stalls first. All the writings were in Korean and I couldn't understand. Was planning to order by sign language already and I came across a counter with translated menu in English, Chinese and Japanese.

There is even a digital interactive menu there which I didn't try out.
Large crowd
So happy to find the translated menu and took 2 English ones back to the table for ordering purposes.

Translated menus
The translated menu indicates food that various stalls are selling and the price which is pretty clear cut.

Translated menu
We decided to have bimbimbap (Hot stone pot rice) and took turns to go order. Even though the stall workers spoke little English, I can still point out what I wanna order from the menu. Fuss free in this way.

Was given a beeper to wait for food to be served.

The wait for 10mins and we sat there chatting about the day. 1 thing I loved about Korea is they provided drinking water in every restaurant and even food courts.

You just have to locate the corner where they placed the water dispenser and cups and can help yourself to the water.

Bimbimbap for dinner
One thing to note though that you are required to clear your own table after meal. Just take the tray back to the collection area. I guess it is instill in Korean's everyday life and everyone does it automatically. Cannot say the same for our country though.

Since we are not going to Spaland, we walked around the departmental stall after dinner. Nothing much to rave about since everything here is on the high end side.

There is another departmental store though, Lotte World. Went in out of curiosity but got nothing here again. Didn't like shopping in Korea.

Very expensive watermelon
We did however managed to get bread here for tomorrow breakfast. Its was near to 8.30pm when we went into the bakery but there was no discount. I guess they don't have this practice of having discount after a certain timing.

I must say that the bread are not cheap but they do have a large variety of french pastries which we loved.
Pororo cookies
Called it a day after buying the bread and we headed back. Hopefully, I will get to try Spaland if we ever return here.
Going home
Cheese sticks

Chocolate cookies
The bread/cookies were really tasty though and we had a full breakfast the next morning:)
