Miles and miles away

This is a long overdue post, bestie moved to UK for a yr to be her baker who is studying there, brought my god son along too.

Though we don't regularly meet while here, its a bit weird to know that she is moving half way across the world from home with a 7/8 hrs time difference.

Lucky for us, the advancement of communication tools meant that we can still keep in touch through various ways. Not only limited to the conventional way of snail mail, phone calls, we can now maintain contact thru email, posting recent updates thru FB, message each other during wee hours of each other time zone and lastly skype.

Love the skype idea since I can get to chat with god son (not so much with bestie). I was pretty worried that god son will not be able to recognize me after being away for a year. But with this, we get to see each other from time to time although not often. Hey, but at least he sees me occasionally and hear my voice, better than nothing.

With bestie far away in UK, I lost my bitching partner. Its not easy to remember what you wanna tell her when we are 7/8 hours apart. Sometimes, when I wanna bitch, I would check the time over at her side and realized its pretty late over at her side. Will makes me think twice about dropping her a message for fear of disturbing her.

Really looked forward to having her back here next year for good and I can pop by her house to play with god son during his toddler phase.

Till then, I guess we need survive on our skype sessions, her occasion videos of god son and our trusty whatsapp to keep in contact.
