Thus today, after my medical check up, I went groceries shopping while on my way hm..Decided to make black pepper fried seafood udon..Below is my version, totally no veggies de..hehehe
The ingredients are as follow:
1). Prawns (Brought off shelf from NTUC)
2). Crab sticks
3). Jin Zhen Gu (The long long stick mushroom)
4). Udon noodles
5). Garlic
6). Black pepper sauce ( I brought Woh Hup brand)
Preparations:
Prawns
I deshelled them, slit the prawn down the middle to remove the intestines and wash it clean..I think this is pretty essential as its quite dirty while I was cleaning them..I wanted to soak in salt water but didnt have the time to do so, anyway muz realli clean b4 u fry...
Crabsticks
Its pretty easy to do with the crab sticks, unless you wan fry it whole, else you can shred it into piece. By pieces, I mean long pieces, not those small small de..The long pieces should blend in well with the udon..
Garlic
I chopped it into fine pieces. Not sure why, but this is they way I see mummy do when she fry garlic with dishes..whahaha
As I am a noob when it comes to cooking, thus the amount of ingredients, seasoning I used is as per how I deem it should be..
My cooking method:
1). Boil udon nooddles, drain dry and set aside the noodles
2). I used 2 table spoons of Oilve oil and heat up the oil
3). Then throw in the garlic and fry till it turned brown
4). Next, I added in the crab stick, follow by the shrimps
5). I poured some black pepper sauce and in abit water and for the ingredients to soak up the sauce, stir fry
6). Cover and allow it to simmer
7). When the shrimps are all cooked(i.e turned red), I throw in the udon noodles and the mushrooms to stir fry
8). As I am afraid that the sauce is too little, I add in more sauce at this point and water...Stir fry again to mix well, cover and allow it to simmer for 1-2mins for the sauce to be abosrb
9). Serve it!!
It may not taste the best when you 1st do it, but you can fine tune it as you go along, according to Mr Love, he find it quite nice except that there is no veggies..whahaha...
The end product :) |
