Taipei Revisited 2011-Shi Fen Falls (十分瀑布)

We came to the entrance of Shi Fen Falls(十分瀑布) and brought tickets inside, yes we need pay NTD80(SGD3.60) each to enter it. Once inside, you can feel a gush of fresh air. It so refreshing. There is a cooperative shop near the entrance and we walked down some steps to come face to face with the water fall.

Tickets to the waterfall

View of the waterfall from cooperative shop
1st time in my life, I see a real water fall. Never a fan of water as I cannot swim, I am in awe of the beauty of it. Water gushing down in full force just before the waterfall, all seems so peaceful but you can see the force of water rushing down. It was breath taking, at least for me.

Mr Love starts to take photos of the waterfall
While we stood there enjoying the view taking pictures, I noticed a rainbow forming within the waterfall. Not sure whether we are lucky or it is normal for rainbow to form within waterfalls. I was excited to see a rainbow up close. Thank god for the sun, had it been a rainy day, I am sure the view would not be as great.

Can you see the rainbow?

Cooperative is at 2nd level

A must take photo here.
All is calm at the upstream
We decided to check out the place futher, thus walked around. There are ponds with fishes here, a small play ground for kids, some BBQ place where it look pretty abandon. Guess they have not fully developed this place yet.

Check out the calm waters
Decided to sit for a while as I was tired from the trekking
Found out that we could buy some fish food for the fishes from the co-op and went to buy 1 pack.Hubs was overjoyed to find fishes here and to feed them. We spend quite some time here feed the fishes, seeing how they all closing up to the food. 2 鸳鸯 (Mandarin ducks) then swim out of no where to eat the fishes' food too! It was hilarious to see them trying to beat the fishes at eating the food.

Seeing that food is running out, hubs sent me to buy 2 more packets as he is not done with the feeding. Not wanting to rush him to go, I obliged and went to buy 2 more pacs. We stayed there feeding the fishes and ducks for another half an hr before deciding to make our way back to Shi Fen street (十分老街).

Mr Love was happie with the surprising find here and promise to come back to feed the fishes and ducks the next trip.

Saw a train when we trekked back
