Finally hit Big 3

And yes, the dreaded big 3 is here and I crossed it on 12th March. I am officially not a youth by many countries' standard. It might sound scary to hit 30 a few years back but as I neared it, it suddenly seem not that scary anymore. Haha Now 40 sounds scary to me..Hehe

Anyways there is not much celebrations this year, mostly because Mr Love is STILL under probation(6 long months!!) and we couldn't go anywhere for holidays. My March babies celebrations with the sistas will be pushed back till April as 1 of the sistas is outstation.

Mr Love however did offer to bring me for a buffet treat at any hotel of my choice to celebrate my bday and our 6th ROM anniversary which is also on the same day. After giving it much tots, I decided I wanna eat salted egg crabs at the Bukit Timah Cze Char which we used to frequent till I learnt that cooking on my own is much more economical.

He was surprise at my choice since we usually will splurge for each other during our bdays and indulge in a hotel's buffet. But I really miss eating crabs ma.

We arrange to visit on a sat evening so to have more time to savour the crabs slowly. Haha. Beside my main craving, we ordered a few some other dishes to go along.

 I decided to order 2 kinds of crab, salted egg and chilli. The stall here was famous for their salted egg crab when I 1st stumbled across its name online and we fell in love with it since. But we suspect they might have changed their main chef as the cooking tastes a bit different. Can consider standard dropped.

 Was pretty disappointed with the taste lo, Mr Love was not impressed at all  and told me that we should start sourcing for another cze char outlet for the crabs.

Crowd here on a sat eveing is visibly lesser that when we 1st came. I guess many of them had found the standard dropping and didnt return.

 We updated our couple wear this year and brought the new Germany couple jerseys. Many though we were supporters of Spain when we wore our couple jerseys previously. Little did they know that non of us watched soccer. The only reason we are wearing it is because Mr Love love the materials and I wanted couple shirts. So there we are not supporting Germany for this world cup but it would be a bonus should they win. Haha

We initially planned to take a day off on my bday itself and make a trip to the zoo since piggy bro told us that the bday person gets to enter free on actual bday. Haha Mr Love however got a report to submit on the 12th and so, there goes my plan. I ended up spending my bday running errands and sleeping the afternoon away.

However while walking around the empty shopping centres on a Wed afternoon, I managed to get a working bag for Mr Love as an anniversary pressie. The current 1 he is carrying is at least 7 years old. I remember getting it for him during his bday the year b4 we ROM. I really take my hat off him. The bag is like gonna give way anytime soon and he is still happily using it.

And since he is a super fussy person when it comes to his personal belongings, I had a hard time finding the correct bag. I know his taste well enough but it is just that the shops don't sell it. Hahah And those which are in trend now, he doesn't like. Headache.

Imagine my joy when I spotted the acceptable 1 in 1 of the small leather shop after 2hours of walking.

A quiet bday this year but I am not complaining since I can feel the love of my love ones wishing me well on this day:)
