대박 (Dae Bak)

Learnt this word while watching Running Man and recently "The Inheritors". Usually the Chinese translation would be "大发" which has no meaning to us. Its seems like an expression to me only and so I google and found that it means "Cool" or similar.

While going through my visitors' statistics, I realized there is a Google translation page in Korean. Out of curiosity, I clicked the page.

The expression 대박  can really be used on what I saw. Really 대박 !

That particular post I did got translated into Korean. Every single word except for the Chinese words. I guess whoever visited the page selected English to Korean translation and being the rojak Singaporean, my posts usually are mixed with some Chinese words.

Now then I know Google had such a powerful tool, the next time I should try to search for a Korean blog and translate it into English or Chinese to read.

Contents originally in English got translated to Korean
My sidebar got translated too

Cool isn't it? To the Korean reader who translated my blog entry and read. Thank you for your interest, I am flattered and thank you for letting me know there is such a function from Google. Thank god for my itchy hands and curiosity. 대박 !
