Xmas came and went in a blink of eyes. It was not a good year end for me but nevertheless I think I had bounced back from the setbacks and start to look forward to 2014 with a open mind and positive mindset.
Coming from a traditional Chinese family, we do not have Xmas celebrations. But this year, with the newly renovated (not really that new la) and little bro gotten married already I decided to have a mini gathering in our house.
Since we do not have an oven at home to heat up the turkey, I sourced for a ready cooked 1 and only need to heat up the sauces. Hehe.

Turkey from Swensens |
I ordered the turkey from Swensen's and went to collect on the eve. I think their turkey was prepared quite well. The meat was more tendered than I imagined but then again I am not a frequent eater of turkey. The turkey was so humogous that the 5 of us (3 silblings and our spouses) only managed to finish half of it along with the pizzas.

Super big turkey |
We end up ta baoing the other half for dad who couldn't make it due to work. Mummy was even best, I had to get her a pack of fried rice since she doesn't eat what she claimed to be western food. Haha. So while we sat there eating, she gobbled up her fried rice and all the while giving us stares that as though as we are eating weird food.

We were too full from dinner to start the board game and gave the idea up. End up, everyone just hung around watching Jackie Chan's movie shown on Channel 5. It was a cosy gathering as I had not seen my darling brother for 2months. That chap, dun even missed me!!Aggrrr..
Merry Christmas everyone. Here's to good health and a better 2014 *Cheers*
