Had our sisters' Xams gathering the other day and had a blast with my sistas. Xmas gathering is not an annual affair for us but I guess we will try to make it annually. But it is never easy to fit in everyone's schedules.
As usual we met in Ion as the other 3 make it their personal mission to familiarise me with the shopping centre that they deem no Singaporean should be a stranger to. Truth to be told, if not for having to meet them there I would not have step foot in the shopping centre. I mean there is nothing there for me to buy. Either that or I can easily get the stuff in any shopping centres in the West area.
And I totally hate the crowd. Period. The other 3 find it funny that I lost my way during our 1st meeting there 2 years ago. It's my 1st time there and I simply had no idea where the restaurant that we are meeting is. End up calling them for help and stood there till they found me. Haha Epic.
This time round it got better. I was the 1st to reach and tried to act smart by volunteering to go queue up. Not much of an issue except that it took me 3 rounds around the level before locating the restaurant. Sweet. Still, the next sister came in 20min after me. Heheh

We talked/updated/gossiped/bitched throughout dinner while waiting for Dear Dear to arrive. It is always good to catch up with them once in a few months.
In front of them, I can relax and tell them my worries while listening to theirs. In front of them, I am not afraid of doing silly things, luffing at our internal jokes, in short let my guard down. Ahhhh, the beauty of having close knit friends, you get to release the frustrations you built up within the months.
Since we might not chat as often as I did with bestie on whatsapp, we got tons of things to update each other. Every 1 was trying to input as much as we can during dinner. Haha.

Yiyi and partner with their gifts |
And then we did a mini gifts exchange towards the end of dinner. As usual, we luff ourselves silly during the exchange. Not sure why but everytime during gifts exchange be it during Xmas or birthdays there bound to be a joke among the gifts.
This year the joke is on partner's gift to us. Her gift is of odd shape but she tried to wrap them like a rectangular 1 and stacked them in her cupboard. So, the bottom 1 has 2 dents in it while the top 1 seems more decent looking.

See the dimples on our gift |
And I got the bottom box while Yiyi got the top box. I kept poking at the dent and comment that my gift got dimples and Yiyi got a better 1 at the expense of my gift since hers is on top of mine. Partner was paiseh at the dents in mine and Dear Dear's gift and we teased her endlessly.

And so the fun continued for 10min till we found another target to tease. We realised Dear had used Partner's gift as a head rest while opening up my pressie to her. Haha Got caught in the act and we took picutres of it another 5 min of luffing went on.

And so the gifts exchange ended on a cheerful note and we decided to call it a day. Went out to find some corner to take photos before we left. We usually will take quite a few for memories sake. Hopefully 30years later, we will be able to look back at the many photos we took and remember the good times we had since 18/19 years old.

In case if you are wondering why my hand is on Partner's face is because she kept complaining her face is too big on my Note 2 screen and I tried to cover part of it for her. Haha. She made me stood in front of the pics but I proved to be too tall to be right in front. Hur Hur.

Merry Christmas my sisters, it had been a fun night as usual. May we all be blessed with abundance of good health, love, happiness, wealth. See ya in 2014 where we will celebrate 10yrs of graduation and of course our next milestone in life, the big 3 birthdays. *Muackz*
