I am feeling super hungry and thus decided to search for food to fill our stomach 1st. We went thru the underground shopping street tat links 2 MRT stations together, Zhong Xiao Fu Xing, Zhong Xiao Dun Hua(忠孝敦化站) stations.
The travel guides state till very nice, says that it is divided into 7 theme sections selling different things. But but but, there is practically nothing there lo. Erm nothing interesting to look at. Anyways towards the end of the mall, I was on the verge of fainting and I saw a shop selling award winning beef noodles. Went in quickly to get our lunch.
The noodles were indeed very nice, the thick soup base was a gem. No wonder it had won so many awards. We finished our noodles without a drop of soup left in the bowl. Bill came up to 20SGD. It was the most expensive meal we had in Taipei. But I didn't regret giving it a try.

We then walked back to Zhong Xiao Fu Xing station to start my search for my shoes. Decided to make a stop at SOGO. I remembered years ago, we used to have SOGO in SG rite? I can still remember their bags but they pulled out after that. The things in SOGO here were super expensive can??
A normal looking blouse cost 70bucks. Fwah I prefer the 1s in the night markets. But there are super lots of shoppers here. We took a quick tour here and proceed out to look for my shoes.

Armed with my very poorly copied map, we set out to look for the No Concept shop. We walked up and down the main street twice, trying to look for the said house number and couldn't locate. Tried asking random people on the street for help, they were friendly alright but the directions they gave are useless. More often than not they gave the wrong directions, making us walk even more.
I nearly gave up under the hot weather and Mr Love was getting more upset. He didn't say but I can sense. I told him to let me try 1 last time and I will give up. And that I promised to treat him to fried chickie tat night. Easy to cajole...
I suddenly got this idea of turning into a side street as I saw it had the same street name that I was looking for.And viola! we came to the said house number. I was so happie to see the mail box hanging outside the door. But then, it was a old looking, a bit run down building. I had my reservations going up then. I told hubs what if the shop is a "黑店" where they will rob us if we go up? Too much imagination..heheh

Mr Love told me to go n give it a try since we went thru so much trouble to get here and besides I have got a commando to protect me. With tat, I rang the bell to the unit. I rang 3 times with no answer. Just as I was giving up, the door open and we proceed up to the unit.
The shop was a bit old it seems but the selection of shoes makes me go gaga. Shop owner was a nice lady, who was friendly and didn't mind me trying on every other shoes that I set my eyes on. She knew deep down I would not buy as many but dun mind to keep going to the store to get my size for me to try on.
I was the only customer there. She told me that they usually do online business and once in a while, they get customers popping up like me. But its mostly locals, I am 1 of the every few foreigners who manage to find my way.
