Taipei 2010 Day 3-Part 4-Shoes Madness!!!

According to the shop owner, shoes in SG are all supplied by them thus buying in Taipei saves me around 30bucks per pair. Tat is also partly due to the promotion they are having. I was having a hard time choosing what not to buy instead of what to buy..

I wanted flats, I wanted heels, I wanna buy another pair of my mousey flats but they dun have my size. Then I wanted a pair the piggies shoes. Hubs was all along sitting on their sofa resting after a long walk under the hot sun.

While choosing the shoes, I chatted with the owner. It turns out that the shoes are designed by taiwanese designer not japanese as I was told my the SG store owner. She said that the Japanese design were more outrageous and not many people can accept the design thus they use taiwanese designers but with the japanese brand name. I guess there might be some collaboration.

She showed me some examples of the Japanese designed shoes and true enough, I find them too "hip" for my liking. On the other hand, the taiwanese design were more to the cute and sweet side which is much more acceptable.

Meanwhile as we chat, I was relating to her how our luggage was damaged. The locks couldnt lock, I suspect it was damaged when it was unloaded at the airport but I didnt realised till when I reached hotel. Anyways, we wanted to look for a new 1 but I did not have enough cash and we are not willing to buy those high end priced 1 from the dept stores. So I asked her whether there is any super mart like Carrefour that sells luggage and at the same time accpet credit cards. To our delight she introduce us to "Da Run Fa" a local super mart which is of walking distance from here. Taiwanese people are so friendly and helpful. She even drew a map for us.

My loot from this shop? 2 pairs of flats, 1 pair of wedges, 1 pair of strap heels and a wallet. This is the 1st time i brought their wallets. I had hard time choosing the designs. All were so kawaiii. Unlike shoes, I seldom change my wallet so I can only buy 1. Hubs commented that the medium size 1 look better and it is the middle sized 1 I brought. Total damage was 320SGD. Which was considered cheap. Back home, 320bucks can get me maybe 3 pairs of flats only as heels costs more.

Hubs is shocked by my purchases. Turns out to be 2 big bags and is wondering how are we gonna lug it back to SG given tat our luggage is spoiled and we had no other luggage. Also  he took back the comment he made earlier in the day tat he noticed I hasn't brought any shoes in Taipei. He now knows I am saving for this visit to the No Concept shop...whahah

Wonderful shopping here and I am contented already. Makes this trip worthwhile :)
